Scottish Champions Glasgow City take on England’s best side Arsenal, this Sunday at Petershill, 2pm, in a unique Battle of Britain challenge match, sponsored by ng homes.
The game presents are rare chance to see two of Britain’s finest teams up against each other and a great opportunity for Scottish fans to see an Arsenal side who are littered with some of the world’s most famous and talented players.


With the Scottish Premier League only weeks away from starting this match is one of City’s last chances to prepare for the defence of their Championship crown. It will also be one of Arsenal’s last games before they take on Italian champions Torres in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Commenting on the match, Glasgow City Club Manager Laura Montgomery said, “If you haven’t been to a women’s match before, this is the one to get along to. Very rarely do we get the chance to play some of the best teams in Europe out with Champions League ties and the fact it is the English Champions, adds that little extra bit of spice. We are delighted to welcome Arsenal to Glasgow and look forward to what is sure to be a very entertaining game. “
The match takes place on Sunday 24th February at City’s home ground of Petershill Park, 30 Adamswell Street in Springburn. It is a cash gate, priced£5 Adults, £3 Concessions and Kids under 16 are entirely free.

    England simply were loosing many balls in the middle. They had a hard time doing decent distribution but Sweden were pressing them very high. In attack they also were rather predictable and many time they lacked accuracy with their passing.
