Bethany England extends Chelsea contract
Bethany England has committed her long-term future to Chelsea Women as she has signed a new four year contract until 2024 the club announced on Wednesday afternoon.
England who scored 14 Women’s Super League goals for the Blues in 2019-20 as they won the title ended the campaign as the clubs top goalscorer.
She also netted twice in February’s Continental Cup final against Arsenal as Emma Hayes side won 2-1 in Nottingham.
The striker started all 15 league games playing 1322 and was only behind Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema in the goalscoring charts.
England also registered 3 assists to her name creating 94 chances in total for her teammates.
It’s means a lot to me, especially being at such a great club that Chelsea is she told the club website ‘I’ve spent a lot of time here already, so being able to extend that and hopefully kick on with what I’ve already achieved at this club is exciting”.
