Bibiana Steinhaus becomes first woman to referee in Germany’s Bundesliga

Steinhaus makes history today Refereeing the game between Chemnitzer FC V Bayern München in the DFB-Pokal.

It is not just the advent of new technology that marks the new Bundesliga out this season 2017/18, it is that Bibiana Steinhaus will become the first woman to referee in Germany’s top flight.

She is a very experienced official at the age of 38, she steps up to the Bundesliga after officiating 80 matches in Bundesliga 2 since 2007, and just coming off a successful UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 campaign. Also For the first time in Bundesliga history, the referee’s will be able to call on a video assistant referee to assist in decision-making, giving every match official extra support on the pitch. (Great idea, should be in all Games Men’s and Women’s)

So my Question is, that the best match officials whether they are Men or Women should take charge of Matches, and it should be the same in all football tournaments Worldwide, gender should never come into it?
