Brazil schedule friendly matches against Germany, NZL, England and USA ahead of Women’s World Cup
Brazil Women’s National Team head coach Vadão has revealed in an interview that Brazil have already scheduled international friendly matches against strong opposition Germany, New Zealand, USA and England.
The friendly matches are part of Vadão and the Brazilian Women’s National Football team’s preparations for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Brazil ended 2014 on a high after winning the International Tournament of Brasilia, beating USA in a dramatic comeback along the way. If the reports are true, we are set to see another thrilling revenge match between USA and Brazil ahead of the World Cup.
No dates have been confirmed for these friendlies yet but there is a strong possibility that Brazil will take the place of France in the international friendly match against England that was scheduled for Thursday 9th April 2015. The game was cancelled after England and France were drawn in the same Women’s World Cup group.
Brazil’s preparations for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup has shown a huge and positive improvement from previous experiences. Not only have they arranged International friendly matches with top quality opposition that will test them, they will also be taking part in the popular Algarve Cup tournament in March.
