Brazil squad announced for Copa América Femenina 2018
Brazil women’s national team head coach Vadão has announced his squad to participate in next month’s Copa América Femenina 2018.
Cristiane is back in the squad after coming out of early retirement and will take part in the eigth edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina.
The Copa América Femenina is a crucial tournament for the competing teams as it provides two qualifying places and a play-off place (against 4th place from CONCACAF) for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, one qualifying place and a play-off place (against 2nd place from CAF) for the 2020 Olympic Games women’s football tournament, and three (teams finishing third to fifth) for the 2019 Pan American Games.
The 2018 Copa América Femenina will run from 4 to 22 April, hosted in Chile.
