Before the World Cup started and after watching every International Friendly game Spain played they were one of my top five teams in this year’s tournament. But they have not played so far anything like I have seen them play before, They have some great gifted players with amazing ball skills such as Jennifer Hermoso, Mariona, Alex Putellas to name just some. But for me what they are missing IS not playing Aitana Bonmati in the starting line-up in every game, My own personal opinion is Aitana Bonmati is an amazing player who I feel will become, in the Future, one of the best players in the women’s game.

She has played at every level in the Spanish National teams U17,U19,U20, and so far 13 games for the Full National Team. For her Club FC Barcelona she has played since 2016, 53 games and scored 14 goals. During her youth career she has Won the U-17 European Championship (2015) as well as in 2017 she won the U-19 European Championship, she played her first game for the full National Team in November 2017 against Austria.

So for me I would ask coach Jorge Vilda to play her from the start and not leave her on the subs bench. I am not saying that Spain will beat the USA if she is not playing, but I am saying that they have a better chance of pulling off a surprise if she starts the game.
