Canada to play Sweden in two ‘closed-door’ international friendly matches.
Canada Women’s National Team will play Sweden in two international friendly matches on 24 and 26 November in Los Angeles, USA. Kick-off times and venues to be determined.
The pair of international friendlies will be closed-door matches as Sweden and Canada continue preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015.
As hosts of the tournament, Canada qualified automatically for the World Cup 2015 whilst Sweden secured its spot in September after a hard-fought qualifying campaign.
The last time Canada and Sweden met was at the London 2012 Olympic Games which saw Canada come from two goals behind to draw and book their place in the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
