Canada announce squad for international friendly against Netherlands.
Canada WNT head coach John Herdman has selected a 19 player roster for the upcoming camp (April 4-12) and the international friendly against Netherlands (April 10).
The training camp and international friendly will serve as Canada’s continued preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Canada qualified for this summer’s Olympics after a second place finish at the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament. In March, Canada won the Algarve Cup 2016 beating Brazil 2-1 in the final.
Goalkeeper Erin McLeod is missing from selection as she sustained an ACL injury with her club team and is still assessing her options, she has been replaced by Sabrina D’Angelo.
