Célia Šašić ends her football career

German international striker Célia Šašić has announced her retirement from football on her official Facebook page.

Célia has a written a heartfelt message to her fans to share how football is her passion and has played a part in her whole life. Sasic has experienced unforgettable moments both internationally and at club level which has made her proud.

The 27-year old striker goes on to say that she has now decided to explore new ventures and to end her professional football career. Célia thanks everyone who supported her during her career.

During her career Sasic has won European Championship titles, U19 Women’s World Cup, Olympic Bronze medal in Beijing, German Cup, Champions League. Most recently Célia was the top goalscorer at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 in Canada.

We thank Célia Šašić for all she has given to the sport and wish her all the best on her new ventures.
