Let me update the serial :

OGCNice féminines played and won their first match today on the final road to D2 ! They beat the group favourite La Sanne Saint-Romain 2-1 (2-1). It was a difficult match, very contested and it’s a nice victory. It was the first time I could watch this team and my impression is good. Of course, three days after France-Canada, it wasn’t the same level. But that’s not the point, is it ?

Nice opened the score after 4 minutes when the #9 eliminated the GK and send the ball in the empty net. Two minutes earlier, the #10 (by far the best player on the pitch) did a “Louisa Necib” shot, the ball hitting the crossing-bar…

A lack of concentration in the defense allowed La Sanne to score and level the mark but less than two inutes later, Nice took the lead again thanks to a very pretty lob by its #10. This girl really impressed me by her technique and game vision. Apparently very young, very small and very thin, she plays indifferently with her two feet, even if she is obvioulsy right-footed. She has a huge facility to eliminate opponents in a very short space, thanks to her dribbles and dummies and her passes are always accurate…
The two other forwards (9 and particularly 11) are very good too, as well as the GK.

Next sunday, the team will play at home again, welcoming Sète. I’ll be there again.

Nice #10, my “girl of the match”
