Chelsea Ladies sign Sweden international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl
Chelsea Ladies have announced the signing of Sweden international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl.
Hedvig Lindahl joins the London club from Swedish side Kristianstads DFF who compete in the Damallsvenskan.
This is the fourth signing by Chelsea manager Emma hayes during the close season following defender Niamh Fahey, winger Gemma Davison and midfielder Millie Bright.
Emma Hayes told Chelseafc.com:
‘Hedvig is world class and will bring another dimension to our play. Her World Cup and European Championship experience will be invaluable and will bring the knowledge and expertise we need to compete on all fronts.
‘We now have two fantastic goalkeepers which is important for the squad with so many games to play. I’m very excited to work with her during the coming season.’
