Day 6 at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2016
There’s everything to play for in the final action of Groups C and D today as all eight teams have at least a theoretical chance of advancing to the quarter-finals of the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Amongst today’s exciting action is the Group D clash between Japan and USA. The USA will need a win to progress (if Ghana defeat Paraguay), against the defending champions Japan. In the other Group D match Ghana will need to beat Paraguay in order to put them in a position to be able to advance to the last 16.
There are a lot of possibilities for the outcome of Group C today, the current fourth position Nigeria could move to the top if they can beat the current leaders Korea DPR. Irrespective of the other result in Group C, Brazil and England both need a win from their head to head to be able to qualify, anything less will not do.
