Day Nine at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 – Group Stage (16 June)

The teams in Group C and Group D will contest their final group stage matches to determine who will advance to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Round of 16.

Japan have already secured their place in the Round of 16 and today’s results will decide who will join them.

Keep an eye on all the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 fixtures and results.

(Match 29) Full-time: Ecuador 0-1 Japan (Ogimi 5′) – 16:00 | Group C | Winnipeg

Referee – Melissa BORJAS (HON), Assistant Referee 1: Yolanda PARGA (ESP), Assistant Referee 2: Manuela NICOLOSI (FRA), Fourth official: Quetzalli ALVARADO (MEX)

Nadeshiko Japan can head into this final group game against Ecuador with the pressure off having already booked their place in the Round of 16. Ecuador’s progress in the tournament seems unlikely following two heavy defeats.

(Match 31) Full-time: Nigeria 0-1 USA (Wambach 45′) – 17:00 | Group D | Vancouver

Referee – Kateryna MONZUL (UKR), Assistant Referee 1: Natalia RACHYNSKA (UKR), Assistant Referee 2: Sanja RODAK (CRO), Fourth official: Rita GANI (MAS)
