FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2014

The wait is over! The 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kicks off today in Canada!

Sixteen teams will contest the prestigious tournament hoping to be crowned the Under-20 World Champions, view the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Groups.

The tournament kicks off with an exciting battle between three-time U-20 Women’s World Cup champions USA and two-time winners Germany. They will meet at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. This fixture featured twice at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan, Germany won on the first meeting but 12 days later USA got their revenge.

    I must say the field in Edmonton looks great on TV…but of course I’m sure it still isn’t as good as natural grass.

      Yeah it does look great.
      My personal experience on artificial turf was that it felt like my boots were getting a bit ‘stuck’ in the turf it felt unnatural…. Of course it would not have been of the same quality that I am sure these pitches are made.

    Korea DPR win, 3-1. Goals at 27′ and 28′ were crackers. Finland on the offensive for much of the 2nd half but ineffective in the final third.
