Live updates: Denmark v Austria | UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 Semi-final

Denmark and Austria go head to head in Breda for the first UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 Semi-final of the day.

Debutants Austria are having a dream tournament so far having topped Group C before knocking Spain out in the quarter-finals in a penalty shoot-out. There is a worry within the Austrian camp as news awaits of Lisa Makas’ fitness who is thought to have torn her cruciate ligaments during the quarter-final match.

Denmark were runners-up of Group A, they face tough opposition of reigning champions Germany in their quarter-final clash, in which Denmark came from 1-0 down to win 2-1! The Danes will be looking to break an unfortunate record of losing all five of their previous semi-final contests!

Denmark and Austria have met recently in July, with Austria winning 4-2. The winner of this semi-final will become this competition’s sixth different finalists – they will meet the winner of Netherlands and England.
