Denmark to play World Cup qualifier against Croatia following agreement; negotiations will continue after the match

The DBU and the Player Association have entered into an agreement that the players meet in the World Cup qualifier against Croatia and that the negotiations will continue after the match.

Friday dinner meets the players of Danish team in order to train and prepare for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Croatia on Tuesday.

It happens after the DBU and the Player Association have entered into a collective agreement that ensures the implementation of the important international match. The parties have agreed that negotiations will continue immediately after the Croatia International Championship. FIFPro and UEFA also act as brokers in the negotiations for a new national team agreement.

In DBU, elite manager Kim Hallberg is glad that players meet and are ready for battle:

“The last time has acted far too much about conflict – it has hurt the Women’s Team and all of us who jump on them. Now we are fully focused on football and preparations for the important World Cup qualifying match against Croatia on Tuesday. We are looking forward to training and playing a match, “he says.

Under the circumstances, the players are satisfied with a solution that makes it possible to play the match against Croatia and negotiate on an agreement:

“It is important that we have now entered into a deal in place that makes it possible to play the World Cup qualifiers, which at the same time means that we have agreed to negotiate on both camps and get a collective agreement as soon as possible, “Says Pernille Harder, national team manager.

National team players gather around noon and train together on BSF’s courses in Ballerup later this afternoon. The press is informed via press service.

There are no news from UEFA / FIFA about possible penalties after the cancellation of the World Championships qualifying match between Sweden and Denmark. Therefore, there is full focus on the sporting preparations for the fight against Croatia.
