Gaelle Enganamouit and Cameroon Women’s National Team win at 2015 Glo-CAF Awards

Gaelle Enganamouit awarded Women’s player of the year and Cameroon named Women’s National Team of the Year at tonight’s 2015 Glo-CAF Awards

Cameroon were named Women’s National Team of the Year beating fellow nominees Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Cameroon put on an impressive performance during their debut appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada last June. Cameroon progressed to the knockout stages, where they were narrowly defeated 1-0 by China PR in the Round of 16.

Gaelle Enganamouit of Cameroon picked up the Women’s player of the year award. Enganamouit beat Gabrielle Onguéné (Cameroon), Ngozi Ebere (Nigeria), N’rehy Tia Ines (Cote d’Ivoire) and Portia Boakye (Ghana).
