I don’t know what the English Manager thinks about, when he doesn’t include Rosengårds Anita Asante. No offense to the English league, but Asante does play regulary on a higher level, and was/is one of the best midfielders in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Now she plays as a CB in Rosengård, but still, she must be better than some of the choices the English manger ha selected so far. Damallsvenskan is superiour to the English league, and to not include a starting player in the best team of Sweden is a huge miscalculation.
I am confused about this as well because Anita was called up to the squad to play against USA (http://www.womenssoccerunited.com/mark-sampson-names-england-squad-face-usa/) but then she did not feature… And now she is not in the squad… I must have missed the news of what happened!
For sure Asante should be in the squad, England lack players who attack defenders, they will need to look at that before the WWC
