Malabo, Equatorial Guinea – The national women’s soccer team of Equatorial Guinea, dubbed the Equatorial Guinea Girls by their fans in America, won the Cup of African Nations (CAN) 2012 yesterday.

The girls displayed a convincing win over South Africa with a score of 4-0. In the championship series, the girls also scored eighteen goals and conceded none.

The Equatorial Guinea Girls displayed finesse, exemplary sportsmanship and the tactician of a World Cup contender.

Mr. Esteban Becker, the Argentina born coach of the Equatorial Guinea Girls, took a different approach prior to game day. He decided to have the girls take part in a lecture on golf. This session allowed the players to relax and prepare for the next game, which proved to be a successful strategy.
