European Teams Qualifying Path for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup
The Road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019
46 teams have entered European qualifying for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, with 16 teams involved in the preliminary round draw on 19th January 2017.
France gain automatic entry to the 24 team finals and will be joined by eight other European sides. Qualifying is in three stages: the preliminary round involving the 16 lowest nations in the UEFA Women’s National Team Coefficient Rankings; the qualifying group stage, for which the other 30 hopefuls gain automatic entry; and a series of play-offs which will decide Europe’s eighth qualifier.
Preliminary round draw will take place on Thursday 19th January 2017
The Teams entered for the preliminary round:
Andorra (World Cup debut)
Kosovo (competitive debut)
The 16 teams will be drawn into four groups of four, with the section winners and the runner-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their section progressing to the qualifying group stage.
Four teams will be selected to host the mini-tournaments which will be played on Thursday 6th, Saturday 8th and Tuesday 11th April 2017.
The Qualifying group stage draw will take place on Tuesday 28th April 2017, below is the list of teams who have automatic entry.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

The 35 teams will be drawn into seven groups of five, who will play home and away games between September 2017 and September 2018.
The seven group winners will qualify to join France in the finals.
The four runners-up with the best record against the teams first, third and fourth in their groups will progress to the play-offs, which will consist of two rounds of two-legged knockout ties in October and November 2018 to decide Europe’s last qualifier.
