    But … I believe no one can say Abby’s goal-scoring career which is STILL progressing at fast pace occurs simply because the defenders commit mistakes. All teams, especially the good ones playing in WC and Olympic, do their best to avoid mistakes, and still Abby keeps scoring. If a disciplined team (like France) “forgets” to mark her, and if such “mistake” occurs repeatedly, then we must reason it, itself, is a part of Americans’ game plan. They must be cleverly manipulating opponents so that Abby is left free. And, of course, Americans take such trouble because they see good chance in Abby. One more point. Please remember that mere presence of player like Abby has impact on opponent. At the Olympic final, the Japanese defenders constantly kept their eyes on Wambach and Morgan resulting in the two “surprise” goals by Lloyd.
