Western New York Flash goalkeeper Adrianna Franch is expected to miss the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League season after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee.
The injury was sustained during the club’s first preseason training session.
Head coach Aaran Lines commented on the Official WNY Flash website: “This is obviously devastating news, especially after the tremendous first season AD had with us last year, she’s a very talented young player with great potential. We wish her a successful surgery and a quick and healthy recovery so she can return to the field with us.”
