Peter Gerhardsson to take over as Sweden WNT head coach after UEFA Women’s EURO 2017
The Swedish Football Association has presented Peter Gerhardsson as Pia Sundhage’s successor in a press conference today.
Pia Sundhage will be stepping down as Sweden women’s national team head coach after the UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 championship.
In a press conference today, it was announced that Peter Gerhardsson will take over the role. Gerhardsson is a Swedish football manager and former football player. He most recently managed BK Häcken.
The agreement extends to the European Championship finals in 2021. Gerhardsson will assume the position immediately after the European Championship this summer.
