Germany squad announced for international friendly against England.

Germany women’s national team head coach Silvia Neid has named a 22-player squad to play England in the international friendly match on 26 November 2015 in Duisburg (18:00 local).

Pauline Bremer and Almuth Schult are absent from the list due to injury whilst Dzsenifer Marozsán makes her return to the squad after several months recovering from an ankle injury.

Germany are expecting a tough contest against the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 bronze medallists, England.

Before the kick-off, Nadine Angerer and Célia Šašić who had finished their active career after the World Cup, will be honoured as well the international players who have completed at least 100 caps.

    This looks like a very strong German squad and it will be a very tough match, but I think England are definitely capable of getting a result. Since the world cup the English players have a new belief in their ability as players and also their ability to compete with world-class teams. This new mental strength has transformed the English Women’s Super League and I think mental strength will be a key factor in this game.
