Germany v England – FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Match for third place
Two top European sides, Germany and England will battle it out in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Third Place Play-off match.
After a fantastic tournament performance from both Germany and England, the European sides fell in their semi-finals against USA and Japan respectively.
Both semi-final matches gave us a competitive hard fought contest, controversial penalties, missed opportunities and for England a heartbreaking undeserved freak own goal.

Both England and Germany will be heading into this match on the back of heartbreak for narrowly missing out on a place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Final and both will be wanted to bounce back and earn a third place finish.
These two European teams met most recently in front of a large crowd at Wembley Stadium and it was the Germans who came out on top, winning 3-0.
