Gunners snap up Schaderbeck.
Arsenal Women have confirmed the signing of Austria captain and Bayern Munich midfielder Viktoria Schaderbeck.
The 27-year-old midfielder has spent the last 11 years with Bayern Munich, where she has won two Frauen Bundesliga titles and a Frauen DFB-Pokal trophy throughout her 132 appearances with the club.
Speaking to www.Arsenal.com, manager Joe Montemurro said: “Viki is a very experienced player. She has played in the Champions League and against the leading teams in European football for many years now.
“As captain of her national team, she brings a wealth of qualities to our side and we’re looking forward to welcoming her into the team when she joins us for the new season.”
Viktoria isn’t the only famous footballer in her family as her cousin Sebastian Prödl plays for Watford.
