Caroline G Hansen ruled out of Norway squad with knee injury

Norway Football Federation has revealed the sad news that their key player Caroline G Hansen will miss the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 due to injury, she has been replaced by Anja Sønstevold.

It has been a tough season for the Norway international and Vfl Wolfsburg star and yesterday Norway’s medical staff examined the player’s knee closely and unfortunately did not get the result they hoped for. Caroline is reported to have been in severe pain and it was not advisable that she joined the World Cup squad.

Norway women’s national team head coach Even Pellerud has called up Anja Sønstevold of LSK to replace Caroline Graham Hansen. Sønstevold born June 21, 1992 and has recorded 3 caps with the senior squad. Take a look at Norway’s FIFA Women’s World Cup squad selection.
