Yui Hasegawa wins WSU Goal of the Month – November 2016

We asked you to vote for your favourite WSU Goal of the Month for November 2016, and you chose Yui Hasegawa as your winner. Watch Yui Hasegawa’s winning goal again now!

Yui Hasegawa scored this clever goal for Japan during the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2016 group stage match against Canada.

The build up to the goal is just as impressive as Yui Hasegawa’s instinctive finish, with the Japanese team showcasing their well known possession play and their fast-paced, accurate passing game.

Hasegawa demonstrated great skill and technique as she scored with the inside of her foot into the far-bottom corner with little the Canadian keeper could do to stop it.

Yui Hasegawa beat Bárbara Latorre, Cristiane, Jennifer Hermoso, Mallory Pugh, Olga García, Ouleymata Sarr and Toni Duggan. Click here to watch all eight of November’s finalists again. Thank you for all your votes!
