England will play Canada as part of their UEFA Euro 2013 preparations on Sunday 7th April 2013 at The New York Stadium, Rotherham United FC at 3pm (local time).

Kerys Harrop has been called up to the England Senior squad for the first time after making a positive impression on Head Coach Hope Powell who has been monitoring the Birmingham defender whilst playing for the U-23s in La Manga.

England recently played Canada in the Cyprus Women’s Cup final, where a Rachel Yankey goal gave the Championship to England.

England are looking like strong contenders for the Euros in Sweden this Summer, they made the final at the previous edition of the tournament and their recent form has been very impressive.

Would be good for the BBC to give Womens Soccer United a mention now and again considering how we push the women’s game to a worldwide audience and have been doing for the last five years.
