Hughes and Sargeant suffer ACL injuries
Bristol City have confirmed that Elise Hughes and Meaghan Sargeant have both suffered tears to their anterior cruciate ligament.
Hughes and Sargeant were both forced off in the 1-0 league defeat at home to Liverpool on Sunday 19th January.
Hughes, who was on loan from Everton, has returned to her parent club to complete her rehabilitation.
The 18 year old has 11 international caps, having made her Wales senior debut aged only 16 in a Cyprus Cup game against Switzerland.
Sargeant signed with City from Birmingham in the summer of 2019 will require surgery and rehabilitation, which is expected to take the rest of the season.
The Robins travel to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend bottom of the table on 6 points as Liverpool sit above them on goal difference.
