India Women's National Football team win opening Asian Games 2014 match

India kicked off their 2014 Asian Games campaign with an impressive 15-0 win over Maldives!

The opening Group A match was played at the Namdong Asiad Rugby Field on Sunday 14 September and saw India completely dominate the fixture.

Sasmita Malik and Kamala Devi scored five goals each, Bala Devi netted two goals and Bembem Devi, Prameshwori Devi and Ashalata Devi scored goals apiece.

India had full control of the match right from kick-off, denying Maldives the opportunity to get even one shot on goal.
