Women’s World Cup winners Japan handed out a harsh lesson to their Palestinian counterparts on Thursday in front of over 10,000 watching fans, ending in a 21-0 win in this Hebron suburb.

Watched by young fans, draped in Palestinian and Japanese colours, the Asian giants were 10-0 ahead at half-time against a team who wore black leggings beneath their shorts to cover their legs. Japan’s goals came from: Ayaka Michigami , Minori Wakabayashi , Sayumi Nishigawa , Hikari Taguchi , Keiko Kodama, Hikaru Kojima , Yoshie Hori  , Reiko Terada

Women’s football in the region is still a relatively new development with a championship organised by the head of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) Jibril Rajoub only recently.

@Ken – It’s only because some players could be injured during the match vs PSG and should have give up. So, they must be cautious until after the match;. I think that is all. I personally have no doubt that OL will travel to Japan with everybody. And, if you take the 10 internationals out, do yo ureally think that OL has 20 players left ? I’m not sure… ;o)
