Wales international midfielder Jess Fishlock joins Lyon on loan
Jess Fishlock has signed for French D1 champions Olympique Lyonnais on loan from Seattle Reign of the NWSL.
Wales international midfielder Jessica Fishlock has gone on loan to Reynald Pedros’ Lyon side from Seattle Reign FC until the end of the season.
On the last day of the transfer window the French and European Champions, Olympique Lyonnais secured Jess Fishlock on loan by Seattle Reign FC, where she plays alongside former Lyon player, Megan Rapinoe.
Jess Fishlock is one of the worldwide stars of football, starting her career in Cardiff City she then found success in a number of leagues around the globe.
Among Fishlock’s achievements is winning the Dutch Championship with AZ Alkmaar (2009, 2010), the Australian Championship with Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018), the NWSL regular season title with Seattle Reign FC (2014, 2015).
The midfielder has also gained experience playing in Germany with 1.FFC Frankfurt (2015), England with Bristol Academy (2011, 2012) and Scotland with Glasgow City (2013).
Fishlock’s personal achievements include being voted Wales best player (from 2011 to 2014) and selected in the best eleven of the USA NWSL (2013, 2014, 2015, 2017)
