Julie Johnston has established herself as a permanent presence in central defence for USA and her role during the quarter-final match against China PR was game changing. When Julie is not working hard in her defence, the 23 year old is assisting in attack.
It was Julie Johnston’s cross that allowed Carli Lloyd to break the deadlock with a header that would become the match winning goal in the crucial quarter-final game against China PR.
