So Im sure your all wondering how the rest of Racheals journey ended up….

She made it to Auckland without a hitch, Then the long flight to San Fransisco was not too pleasant but what long flight ever is… Then thru customs and her last flight to Kansas City…

Tracking her traveling half way across the world while sitting here in Adelaide was a bit daunting and waiting for that message to say she was safe and finally getting to the next destination was hard. Especially when I wake up on the Monday morning and there are Tornado warnings for Oklahoma and Kansas….( the day before the devastating Tornado that hit Moore, Oklahoma) so I messaged the owner (Shawn Daugherty)  to see if her flight would be diverted but he reassured me that the storm had passed them and it would be safe for the plane to land in Kansas City.  So she landed in one piece half an hour late but she got there….

So the Kansas City Shock are all together now and training hard before the opening game this Saturday (4.30am Sunday morning here in Adelaide) at 2pm at Kansas City Kansas Community College. The first match is against Fire & Ice soccer club from Columbia, Illinois. Followed the next day with at 7pm match against Des Moines Menace, Iowa. which will be 9.30 am Adelaide time on Monday morning.

I have been told there will be an online stream so hopefully I will be able to watch her games. I will try and post the link here before the game starts…

I will keep everyone up to date with the progress of the team and hopefully they will be awesome…

Ciao for now…
