29 players have been called to participate in the residential training. Among the players called are Veronica Wafula (striker), Leila Apiyo(forward) Eunice Chepoisho(goal keeper), Irene Ogutu(defender),and Dorcas Shikobe( striker) of Oserian Ladies. The women’s premier league in Kenya has been more consistent than ever in its new and unusual format of dedicating one weekend a month to the league. Despite the lack of sponsorship of most of the teams, the players have shown dedication and commitment in the league. This has given the coaches a wide array of talent to select from for the national team, and will help in improving the players’ fitness levels.
