Kheira Hamraoui Leaves Olympique Lyonnais and signs for FC Barcelona
Kheira Hamraoui has become the second addition of the Women’s Club 2018/19, after the announcement of Stefanie Van der Gragt. The French international, of 28 years, signs until 2020 and will live the first experience of his career outside his country.
He has played the last two seasons at Olympique de Lyon, with whom he has been proclaimed European champion and the French League in both years. Previously, among others, he wore the Paris Saint-Germain shirt between 2012 and 2016. With these two teams he crossed with Barça in the Champions League (2015/16 and 2017/18).
1’78m tall and with a characteristic mane, Hamraoui is a powerful and aggressive midfielder. It also stands out in the air game and long distance shots.
The statements of Kheira Hamraoui:
“Barça is a great club, with ambition and that’s why I was interested in signing here.”
“It’s a team that has progressed over time, when we played against them with PSG (2016) they had nothing to do with this season’s with Lyon, it cost us more and that means it’s progressing. he has more possession than the average of the others, in France we do not have this kind of game, we only see him here “.
“I have a different style of play and I want to win titles in Barcelona, my physique and my aggressiveness can help, I also believe that I am the tallest in the group and I can contribute this physical impact to the team.”
