Portland Thorns Forward Alex Morgan scored the match winning goal in the 68th minute against Seattle Reign FC and gives them a place in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) playoffs in front of 17,109 fans. The win secures Thorns FC  the third seed in the NWSL playoffs for a second consecutive season.

A Kristie Mewis second half goal in the 77th minute was enough to claim all three points for Boston, Houston Dash  goes into the final game of the NWSL regular season needing a win against Sky Blue to finish their inaugural season off the bottom of the table.
