Soyun is to play? I thought Chelsea will not let players go. At least Sasaki said he did not call anyone from Europe because they are not released. Maybe Soyun’s case is special because the tournament is held in her home country.

I have heard that Soyun will be joining the squad after the group stage.

That makes sense. Chelsea will play Notts County on Sept. 20 then no game is scheduled until they meet Everton on Oct. 5. Since the QF, SF and Final of Asian Games are Sept. 26, Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, Soyun has 5 days before the Asian Games and 3 days after it. Of course same can be said for Ogimi and, in fact, Ohno and Kinga as well because Arsenal will also have game on Sept. 20 (Bristol) and Oct. 5 (Liverpool) but none in between. Perhaps Sasaki decided to give new players opportunities.
