Kristie Mewis signs with German Club FC Bayern München
Bayern has signed US national team player Kristie Mewis (24). Mewis changes immediately from the Boston Breakers in the US National Women’s Soccer League with the German champions and signs a one-year contract. Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts midfielder played 33x for the Boston Breakers, went through the U17 and U20 junior selections of US and debuted in 2013 in the senior team. According to the already fixed obligations by Veronica Boquete, Sara Däbritz, Lisa Evans and Nicole Rolser Kristie Mewis is the fifth gain of Bayern Munich for the challenges in three competitions in the coming season. Kristie Mewis: “I am looking forward to be part of the Bayern Munich, of which I have heard so many great things about the team and the club. Playing in Germany has always been a dream of mine.
