Lars Søndergaard presented as Denmark WNT’s new head coach
Lars Søndergaard signed a contract on Monday as the new Danish women’s national team’s head coach.
Lars Søndergaard is the new head coach for Denmark, his predecessor Nils Nielsen resigned from the role in August this year after guiding the team to a very impressive second place finish at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 Championship.
Søndergaard’s first big task will be to lead Denmark through their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers to earn a place at the main event in France.
Denmark are also one of the confirmed participants of next year’s Algarve Cup tournament. Denmark are in Group 3 alongside the Netherlands, who beat them in the Final of Euro 2017, as well as Japan and Iceland.
