Wade who has played in all four of Kenny Shiel’s sides Euro 2021 qualifiers so far signs from Icelandic side Thróttur Reykjavik where she won the League.
“I am absolutely delighted to have signed for Glasgow City,” said Wade.
“I can’t wait to get started and I’m looking forward to the season ahead
Glasgow City have won the SWPL title 13 consecutive times and are also getting ready for a Champions League quarter final with European powerhouses Wolfsburg.
City manager Scott Booth said “We are continually looking to improve our squad at City. Lauren is a real talent, I’ve seen her play at a very high level. She works extremely hard for the team but also has the Individual qualities to cause defences problems. She will immediately identify with our group so I’m looking forward to seeing her develop at the club”.
The Coleraine native spent two years playing in America prior to her move to Iceland where she spent time with Carson-Newman University where she scored one of the fastest hat-tricks in NCAA history netting it in three minutes and 30 seconds.
Wade could be set to make her debut for City against Celtic who have turned full-time in the Women’s game for the first time in their history on Friday Night.
