Leah Galton pens new Manchester United deal.
Manchester United have announced that Winger Leah Galton has extended her contract with the club.
Galton was part of the side that helped Manchester United to the FA Women’s Championship crown last season and has adapted to life in the WSL well..
On penning her new deal she said I’m thrilled to extend my contract with this great club. I’m enjoying my football here under the guidance of Casey and the coaching staff and I just want to keep improving to become the best player I can be. We have an incredible group here and our ambitions are big; I hope I can contribute to many successful years with this team.
The future is very bright for Leah,” Stoney told the club website.
“She is a strong presence on the pitch. I believe she is one of the best in the country in her position.
“Her development since she joined the club has been fantastic to witness.”
Galton has made 34 appearances and scored 6 goals in all competitions for United since joining in July 2018
Galton has had spells with Leeds United where she started her career before moving to the USA with Sky Blue FC.
Prior to her move to United, she spent a brief spell at Germany-giants Bayern Munich, playing only twice before taking a break from football.
She has also represented England at under-17,under-19, and under-23 level but was asked not to be considered for international friendlies against Germany and the Czech Republic last year.
