Emily Lima, Brazil WNT’s first female coach, is reportedly dismissed by CBF

It is reported that following a meeting this morning, Emily Lima was dismissed by CBF as Brazil head coach after a series of six games without wins, being four consecutive defeats.

espnW Brazil has published the information that was revealed by the journalist Lu Castro.

36 year old, Emily Lima replaced Vadão as Brazil women’s national team head coach on November 1, 2016 to become Brazil WNT’s first female coach.

Despite a positive start with seven straight victories, since July this year Brazil has drawn once and lost five.

In an exclusive interview with espnW, Emily Lima revealed: “I already imagined that this was going to happen, not because of the results in itself, but because of the lack of support from the technical coordination. I was looking for results from the Vadão (former coach) … there were several negatives … 3 to 0 … 4 to 0 … but in his case that never mattered…”
