Live Match Commentary: Scotland v USA | International Friendly (13 Nov 2018)

Follow live match updates as USA and Scotland continue their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup preparations with an international friendly match on 13 November 2018.

The USWNT will bring its 2018 schedule to a close with a match against first-time World Cup qualifier Scotland.

The match will be played at The Simple Digital Arena, the 8,000-seat home of Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren FC. The stadium is in Paisley, just outside of Glasgow.

The match will conclude a two-game set in Europe which started with a 1-0 victory against Portugal on Nov. 8 in Lisbon as forward Jessica McDonald scored her first career goal. The USA is coming off a successful run at the 2018 Concacaf Women’s Championship in which it went 5-0-0, qualified for the 2019 Women’s World Cup by rolling past Jamaica 6-0 in the semifinal and then defeated Canada, 2-0, in the championship game to claim the regional title. These will be the first away games for the U.S. Women this year and the first trip to Europe since the summer of 2017 when the USA earned 1-0 victories against Sweden and Norway.
