History will be made on Friday as both Spain and Japan are in with a chance of winning their first ever title in this competition!
Stade de la Rabine in Vannes will host what’s anticipated to be a closely fought Final between Spain and Japan.
It’s not the first time that Spain and Japan have met at this competition having played each-other in the Group C match on 9 August. It was Spain who came out on top, a goal from Carmen Menayo secured them a 1-0 win.
However, Spain will have to play the Final without midfielder Aitana Bonmati who has played a key role in their campaign so far. Aitana was sent-off for two bookable offences during the semi-final match in which Spain knocked out the hosts France. Heartbreaking scenes followed as the young player’s dream of playing in the 2018 Final could no longer become a reality.

Before the main event, England and France will take the centre stage to battle it out for Bronze. A win for England will improve the Young Lionesses best-ever U-20 Women’s World Cup finish – having already beaten their previous record by reaching the semi-final stage. France will be looking to keep the host crowd happy and finish the tournament on a high.
