Kopparbergs/Göteborg one of the top teams in Sweden are serious in trying to get Marta to the club before next season.

Göteborg ended second in the league and won the Swedish cup. They have never been closer winning the league.

The club has re-signed almost the whole squad now and they have contacted Marta´s agent about joining the club before 2012.

The rumor about what are costs to get Marta to sign for a new club is 5.000.000 Swedish kr.
so it seems like Kopparbergs/Göteborg needs to start finding a little bit of a extra money.

I totally agree with you @John ! I think that the mix pro/semipro/amateur is the right way. It is the European one actually and it is the most secure. Bundesliga, Damallsvenskan, D1 have been existing for years and are strongly built, even if some teams can have hard times sometime of course. I think that England is exactly on the same way.

The “Rêves de grandeur” (delusions of grandeur) killed US pro-league twice. Have they really tearned the lesson ? I hope so for all those who are interested in this project but… wait and see…

One thing is for sure is that it would be a big loss for WPS if she goes…
