Marta has signed a three years contract with FC Rosengård
Brazilian star Marta stays in FC Rosengård and has signed a contract for another three years.
The agreement also includes the club to help prepare her for a civilian career after football.
The agreement was presented in Malmö on Wednesday. Marta herself could not attend because she plays a national team tournament at home in Brazil.
– It had to be a handshake over the phone on Sunday night. Then she went straight out and scored three goals against the United States, says FC Rosengård Chairman Hakan Wifvesson.
Sydsvenskan already revealed on Tuesday that the parties were close to a solution. Now that everything is ready to FC Rosengård CEO Klas Tjebbes exhale.
– We’re talking about the world’s greatest football player of all time on the women’s side. It boggles almost at the thought that she was going to play for us the next three years, he says.
