NWSL 2014 match previews on Women's Soccer United

There are two National Women’s Soccer League games on Wednesday 7 May as WNY Flash host FC Kansas City and Sky Blue FC take on Chicago Red Stars.

Four teams involved in the NWSL midweek action with FC Kansas City looking to earn points away to WNY Flash that will move them up into second spot in the league standings .

Western New York Flash v FC Kansas City

Wednesday 7 May, 7 p.m. ET | Sahlen’s Stadium

Western New York Flash held Portland Thorns to a 1-1 draw on Saturday in front of 3,674 fans. The Flash currently hold the sixth position in the league standings.

FC Kansas City beat league newcomers Houston Dash 4-0 in their previous match to secure third place in the NWSL. Amy Rodriguez and Erika Tymrak were among Kansas City’s goalscorers.

Sky Blue FC v Chicago Red Stars

Wednesday 7 May, 7 p.m. ET | Yurcak Field | Piscataway, N.J.

Sky Blue FC earned a 1-0 win over Boston Breakers at the weekend thanks to a Monica Ocampo goal in the 14th minute. That was Sky Blue FC’s first win of the 2014 NWSL season.

In Chicago Red Star’s last fixture they were beaten 1-0 away from home by FC Kansas City. In the three games Chicago have played, they have won one and lost two.
