Netherlands to play France and Poland in October 2015
Dutch women’s team will play two friendlies in October. On Friday, October 23rd at 21.00 stands in the Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris the away match with France on the program. Four days later, on Tuesday, October 27th, stairs Poland and the Netherlands at 17.00 off in the Polish city of Jelenia Góra.
Netherlands and France played 26 times previously against each other. Eleven times won the Orange Women on the current number three at the FIFA Women’s World Ranking, six games ended in a draw and nine games were won by French women’s soccer. ‘Les Bleues’ were at the last World Cup in Canada in the quarterfinals eliminated by Germany. With that result, France is qualified for the Olympics in 2016. Poland for the second time in history in action against the Dutch women’s team. On August 8, 2009 defeated the Orange Lionesses in a practice match with the Polish team 2-0.
It is the first international match for Oranje period led by Arjan van der Laan, October 1 has been appointed as coach of the Dutch women’s team. The Orange Lionesses, currently twelfth in the FIFA Women’s World Ranking, are preparing for the Olympic qualifying tournament that takes place next spring in the Netherlands. From 2 to March 9 Netherlands competes with Norway, Sweden and Switzerland for the final European ticket to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
